On November 3-4, the first stage of the Lithuanian Dramaturgy Festival VersmÄ— (Eng. Spring) took place in the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. The festival presented advance readings of the works by Lithuanian playwrights.

After long preparations for the theatre housewarming, the Vilnius Small Theatre had a tour in Brussels and Oxford.

On October 11, the dance company of Vytis Jankauskas presented Footprints, a one-hour dance performance for five dancers in the State Youth Theatre, Vilnius.

The International Theatre Festival "Sirens" that lasted from September 24 till October 4 concluded with overcrowded halls, arousing not only waves of admiration but also lots of disputes and anger.

The festival PLArTFORMA will take place in Klaipėda on 22 – 24 July. It is a continuation of an international art festival SEAS that was co-organized together with Swedish cultural institution Intercult and was held in Klaipeda last year in July.

Vilnius Theatre Festival Sirens is already announcing the programme for the approaching autumn. Tickets can be acquired from the beginning of July through the agency “bilietai.lt”.

The 7th international theatre and dramaturgy festival The New Drama Action (Naujosios Dramos Akcija, May 21 – June 10) presents the program Attempts: 4 scenarios (Pasikėsinimai: 4 scenarijai).

The second International Theatre Festival "Sirenos" (Sirens) that is going to be held this September will present a prelude - the traditional Japanese Noh Theatre will be included into the program of the festival. This has been possible due to the consensus of the European Union and Japan summits, on the basis of which the year 2005 is announced 2005 EU-Japan Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
