This year, on September 9-12, the Arts Printing House announced its fifth, anniversary New Circus Weekend offering five performances brought from Spain, France, Finland, Denmark, and Sweden.
The Spanish company Botproject performed its trampoline show Collage. The French company My!Laika showed the sketch of the performance Popcorn Machine marking the beginning of the collaboration between the Arts Printing House and the organisation Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe (Eng. Young European Circus Talents). Samuel Gustavsson arrived from Denmark with his mono-performance Alone at Night, where the artist revealed his revelations of modern dance and jugglery. The performance Bubble shown by the company Les Choses de Rien from France took place inside a bubble and embodied mixed origin of the new circus. The Finnish company Circo Aereo brought their newest performance Ro-pu, where a 400 metre long rope "danced" in the air together with other performers.
Just like every year, the New Circus Weekend presented an educational programme alongside with all the performances. Two lectures-performances were given by Swedish circus artist and lecturer Camilla Damkjaer, visiting Vilnius for the second time already. Also, another lecture on the challenges of a circus artist was given by founder of the company Circo Aereo and artistic director Maksim Komaro.
